Fun Facts About Cyberpunk 2077 Food and Food Vendors
Cyberpunk 2077 covers multiple types of service points, including clothing, food, medicine, etc. Instead of offering service only, Cyberpunk 2077 enriches them with funny conversations with the vendors. There are some side quests for your better knowledge of the game background as well. Let’s explore some fun facts about these food stalls.
Key Takeaways
- Cyberpunk 2077 food vendors provide unique dialogues for you to interact with them.
- “A Day in the Life” side quest helps you know the vendor’s life in the game.
- There are a bunch of interesting items telling you what food in NC is like.
Unique conversations with Cyberpunk 2077 food vendors
To know more about Cyberpunk 2077 food vendors, the player can engage in some simple conversations with them. V sometimes talks to them with greetings, and sometimes asks questions when the owner strikes V as odd. At Northside, you will notice a child running one food stall. Following that, you can ask the child why he’s running the business at this young age. The child will answer you that someone needs to take responsibility, speaking like an adult.

A side quest to help out the vendor
A side quest “A Day in The Life” offers the opportunity for you to help out a local Chinese food vendor. His name is Darrell. Some old friends of his sister, Shenna, give him trouble for his sister abandoning them and entering the corpo life. After some back-and-forth, they will recognize that you are the woman surviving from the landfill. That scared them away immediately. At this point, you can ask Darrell if he’s happy Shenna joining Zetatech. Darrell’s answer is straightforward. The strong wish to have food on the table is more important than deep thinking about whether the corporations contribute to the wealth gap or not. In this case, the simple dialogues add more dark color to the dystopian Cyberpunk 2077.

Interesting items on sale
What’s more, by exploring the food stalls in Cyberpunk 2077 multiple times, you can discover some interesting items on sale, sometimes with refreshed qualities.
Other than the cat food for Nibbles, the vendors also sell snacks (most common), special food items (norimaki, hotdogs, etc.), and even the chef’s knife, as a weapon. If you come back several days later, the quality of the knife will even be refreshed, sometimes from purple to orange quality (I guess the vendor has been sharpening the knife…)
“RealFruit” is one of the funny items too, as the emphasis on “real”. That links back to Takemura’s complaint for the Yakitori tasting like plastics (click to explore more about this topic in Cyberpunk 2077). Maybe this set of fruit is genuinely real as it claims to be…

Conclusion
Despite the fun of having dialogues with the vendors which makes them more human and less NPC-like, Cyberpunk 2077 lacks diversity in the specific food choices as most of the food stalls provide general snacks mainly. In my opinion, what they sell is not as diverse as what their stalls seem to be. So, I personally think that the food stall system can be improved by adding more special items to different types of stalls. What do you think?
