Unleashing Chaos: The Bloodiest Party in Cyberpunk 2077 – Going Away Party
The dead bodies and gunfire will surprise any players upon entering this building. Cyberpunk 2077 Going Away Party is the side quest from Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes requesting V to rescue a client called Flavio. The mission is straightforward, but the bloodshed in the house makes this side quest simply unforgettable…
Key Takeaways
- Cyberpunk 2077 Going Away Party requires you to rescue Flavio from his hole-up place and escort him to the nomad.
- The job specs won’t prepare you for what you will witness in the house.
- The built-up and the environment settings of this side quest make it an unforgettable mission!
Cyberpunk 2077 Going Away Party walk-through
Head to this location on the map at Rancho Coronado and take the call from El Capitan. You can read through the message for more information. But the house front entry is already guarded by three of the 6th Street gangsters. There’s also a dead body (one of the joytoys from the party) lying in front of the garage, a foreboding of what you can expect to see in the house.

Upon getting close to the house, Johnny will give his opinion about gangsters:
“Ugh, 6th Street. Hate those bastards. Vomit lofty patriotic bullshit all day, act like fuckin’ animals.”
Johnny is definitely not a supporter of the gangsters’ acts…
If you approach the house from the rooftop, you can see a gangster holding hostage a joytoy at the rear of the house. There’s a body lying in the corridor which you can investigate as well. The investigation will tell you that they’re all basically gunshot to death.

The ground floor looks pretty normal, like a typical dilapidated house in Cyberpunk 2077 with only one dead body lying in front of the couch. However, when you get to the first floor, there are more and more dead bodies lying here and there: staircase, bathroom, corridor…
Walking through the bead curtain in the bathroom will unveil the whole bloodbath in front of your eyes. Bodies are everywhere in the room and the room is all covered in blood streams, with alcohol bottles piled up at the corner and table. The red light only makes the settings even gorier.
Flavio passed out in the middle of the room.
Some joytoys are still alive in other rooms on the first floor, crouching at the corner of the room and weeping.
You can revive Flavio after clearing all the enemies in the house. Flavio will explain to you what happened if you ask:
“Yeah, yeah, but… Just wanted to say goodbye to the city, you know? So I… ordered in some girls, some boosters…”
The rest of the quest is a piece of cake. Drive the car and escort Flavio to the meet-up with the nomad. Then the side quest is all finished. There will be 6th Street gangsters hunting you down on the road after this.
Cyberpunk 2077 Going Away Party: A Surprise from The Client
After reading the spec, I didn’t expect anything unusual other than picking up someone and driving him to the destination. There might be some gunshots or hijacking on the way to the nomads. That’s why I didn’t take notice that those are 6th Street gangsters surrounding Flavio’s house.
There is certainly an information gap between what El Capitan got from the client, and what the client did later — throwing a party and drawing trouble for himself and V. It is part of the contrast too (between the most commonplace job specs and the most surprising situation you can find yourself in), of playing with the player’s expectations.
The build-up of the bloodbath scene
The scene settings are also well-arranged in this side quest. As the player won’t expect a party to be thrown at a hole-up spot, it’s pretty strange that there’s a dead body outside the house and someone is held hostage at the rear of the house.
However, in most cases, players won’t even notice that one dead body is in front of the garage. The attention will be drawn mostly to the gangsters in front of the house.
The settings from the outside, to the ground floor, and finally to the second floor is a perfect crescendo. The number of the bodies increases gradually till the room is filled with blood and dead bodies. The environment also changes from sufficient natural lights outdoors, to lesser lighting at the bathroom, to the dingy red light in the bedroom, echoing the escalation of the situation.

The irony of the story
Of all the dead joytoys on the scene, our client Flavio who’s the culprit of all these manages to survive. Johnny also points out the irony of the situation:
“Fuckers like that – always land on their feet.”
It can be explained that if the client is dead, there won’t be any escorting him to the nomads. Then the second part of the side quest will be lost. So Flavio must survive, for the completeness of the side quest structure.
But there are things that don’t add up in the quest. Why would the 6th Street gangsters keep Flavio half-dead in the room and guard the house instead? If they think that Flavio is dead, why would they still stay at this place?
It seems like having Flavio alive and gangsters guarding the house makes more sense from a game-design point of view instead of the plot.
FAQS
What happened to Flavio in Cyberpunk?
Flavio has to flee NC because of the shift of power in the 6th Street Gang, and he’s wanted by the new bossman during the purge of the gang. After waking him up, you can ask him what happened. Flavio will explain what was going on at his hole-up place. The nomads will take him out of NC at the end of the side quest.
Conclusion
“Going-away Party” is one of the side quests that will leave you a deep impression. It is not just because of the goriness of the scene, but also how the quest is delicately structured to lead and break your expectations. The detailed arrangement of the dead bodies and the lighting make the quest an even more immersive experience.
