Preconditions of Achieving the Star Ending Cyberpunk 2077

The star ending Cyberpunk 2077 requires the help of Panam Palmer and the Aldecaldos. Most importantly, the mission needs a vehicle called the Basilisk to go through the tunnel to Arasaka Tower. Due to these reasons and settings, the game requires you to finish Panam’s storyline to make this ending available.

To unlock the option of asking Panam for help, you need to complete all of Panam’s side jobs, which include “Riders on the Storm”, “With a Little Help from My Friends”, and finally, “Queen of the Highway”. This series of side jobs will build up not just your relationship with Panam, but also with other Aldecaldos. The basilisk will also be raided from Militech in “Queen of the Highway”.

Unlock Your Available Options: Nocturne Op55N1

Before heading into the star ending Cyberpunk 2077, you need to meet Hanako first in the hotel in a main job called “Nocturne Op55N1”. This meeting will bring you to the point of no return, and you cannot return to the previous game until you finish one of the endings.

No matter what you choose in the hotel, it will not affect which ending you are going into later. Different dialogue choices with Hanako will only lead you to slightly different conversation content, and each content will let you know some odds and ends about Hanako’s family and Arasaka.

However, if you finished “Queen of the Highway”, the conversation with Johnny in the elevator of the hotel will become slightly different. The optional dialogue choices will have:

What about Panam? She wanted to help too.

Later on the rooftop, Johnny will lay out all the available options for you. To enter the star ending, you need to choose:

Gonna ask Panam for help.

And then, choose the option saying that:

Take omega-blockers | Yep. Gonna do this with the nomads.

Johnny will then be blocked until you meet him again in Mikoshi.

In this ending, you can choose to let Misty tell your fortune, just like the devil ending. Her reading will be the Lovers and the Moon, representing V and Panam’s friendship, and Johnny’s uncertain fate.

Missions in the Star Ending Cyberpunk 2077 Walkthrough

Choosing to have Panam’s help on the rooftop will officially send you on the way to the star ending. In this storyline, you need to finish four missions, “We Gotta Live Together”, “Forward to Death”, “Belly of the Beast”, “All Along the Watchtower”, to get the star ending achievement and reach the ending cutscene. Here is the rundown of all four missions.

We Gotta Live Together

This mission will lay out the plan of getting to Arasaka Tower, and give you more opportunities to explore what the Aldecaldos think about the plan and the leadership. It involves mostly talking and interactions with NPCs.

Panam’s drive will take you to the Aldecaldo camp. Because you passed out again on the ride, when you wake up, Panam and Saul have already prepared a plan for invading Arasaka Tower.

Saul and Panam’s plan is to use a tunnel guarded by Militech at the outskirts of Nigh City and dig a way into Arasaka Tower. However, the tunnel ends about half a mile away from the Tower. Therefore, the team will need to switch to a SERC (Subterranean Extraction and Removal Combine) to dig through the rest.

The next thing you need to do is to talk to Dakota to reach Alt, and to talk to Mitch. Alt will tell you that she has her agenda of approaching Mikoshi as she plans to absorb all the souls into her. Mitch will be preparing the Basilisk for tomorrow’s mission.

If you talk to the Aldecaldo people after Saul’s speech about taking you in as a family, you will get to know more about their attitudes towards this mission.

  1. Dakota tells you the story of having a dead magpie in her car, and your appearance reminds her of that bird.
  2. Mitch says that he lost the sense of fear because of the illegal chem-cocktail the corporations gave him during the war has fried his brain. He tells you that Saul is on this mission for raiding Arasaka techs as well.
  3. Other veterans express that they know clearly this is a suicide mission.

Forward to Death

Talk to Panam, and the game will take you to the next day when the mission starts. “Forward to Death” covers the complete story of breaking into Arasaka Tower.

First, you need to drive the Basilisk with Panam and get into the construction site with the team. Mitch and Carol will work on opening the tunnel, but it will take some time. Your main job is to defeat all the enemies sent in by Militech. The best way is to use a high-damage sniper rifle and grenades as the enemies swarm in.

After the tunnel is open, the Basilisk will take you and Panam through the tunnel. Mitch, after reaching the end of the tunnel, decides to head back with the Basilisk alone to reinforce the construction site entrance.

Belly of the Beast

You, Panam, and Saul will be the only three left to infiltrate Arasaka Tower through a SERC.

The next thing is to reach the security room and open the net back door for Alt. Alt will handle the rest of the security and lead the three of you to Mikoshi.

The only barrier between you and Mikoshi is Adam Smasher. In this storyline, Smasher kills Saul. You need to take down Smasher with Panam. Then, you will be entering Mikoshi with Panam’s help.

Inside Mikoshi, Alt will copy your soul to a construct and remove your soul from your body. She will explain that even though she can preserve most of your soul, your body is still dying because the immune system is attacking your neurons.

If Johnny takes your body, he can live on because the engram has already altered your body for his soul. If you take back your body, you will only have 6 months of your life left.

To reach the star ending, you need to choose:

Wanna life out whatever life I got left.

After that, you need to step into the well and return to your body.

Johnny will watch you going into the well and say goodbye to you.

All Along the Watchtower

This is the last mission in the star ending Cyberpunk 2077. Panam will take you with the Aldecaldos and leave Night City. You will go through the border through a secret smuggling tunnel with them.

This mission includes no fighting scenes or extensive conversations. It is the moment that you can have your last look at Night City and say goodbye properly.

The end of the tunnel will take you to the ending cutscene, where you will relax under the stars with Panam and let go of the pendant that marks your past with Johnny Silverhand.

What Happens to Arasaka?

“All Along the Watchtower” does not clearly explain the fate of Arasaka. But if you log off the game after the mission “Belly of the Beast” and reopen the game, the loading page will feature news telling you that Arasaka’s stock has been plummeting and Yorinobu has escaped the Tower.

Combined with the information from Alt, the loss of Mikoshi will hit Arasaka heavily because of the investment in this pilot project. Alt, after entering Mikoshi, will destroy it and take away all the souls. If you also play through the devil ending, Saburo’s soul is in Mikoshi as well. This raid will ruin Hanako’s plan of resurrecting Saburo Arasaka.

What About Johnny Silverhand in This Ending?

Johnny has honored his promise, and the plan goes as Johnny and V originally wished it to go. Johnny will leave V’s body and become part of Alt, just like other souls in Mikoshi.

In many ways, this is the ending Johnny prefers. Inside Mikoshi, he will explain that even if he has V’s body, he will not enjoy living in the wrong city with the wrong people around him.

If you have played through the temperance ending, which is to let Johnny have V’s body, you will understand what he means by saying that. Johnny does not have any friends left in Night City, and he does not have a life in the city either. Moreover, V’s face is a continuing reminder of V’s sacrifice. On the other hand, V has many friends who will miss her dearly.

What Happens to the Aldecaldos?

On the rooftop, Johnny will warn V that if she asks Panam for help, the lives of the Aldecaldos will be on her conscience. This prediction turns out to be true.

After the raid, the Aldecaldos have lost Saul, Teddy, and Bob. Mitch is almost killed by riding the Basilisk alone as well. He escaped death because of the chem-cocktail use during the war (You will know about the chem-cocktail story if you talk to him during “We Gotta Live Together”).

The group has lost a leader, but now they have Panam. Panam will lead the clan down to the south and build new homes there. With the resources gained from the Arasaka Tower raid, the future is promising.
