Sultan’s Game Ending: Rebel with Roaming Swordsman & Restore the Starlit Land⭐

In Sultan’s Game, players can rebel through different characters’ routes and stories, and Roaming Swordsman Shirshana is one of the options. Shirshana comes from the land where the stars bear direct connections to the people there, before the Sultan’s predecessors raid his homeland. Finishing his storyline restores the nation to its bygone traditions before the Sultan and his predecessors’ usurpation, and rebuilds the connections between the people and the stars. This post explains how to go through the rebellion route with the Roaming Swordsman and what endings players can achieve in this route.

The Overall Process of Sultan’s Game Ending – Roaming Swordsman’s Route

As a Sultan’s Game ending, Roaming Swordsman’s story route leads to rebellion with Testaments to Bygone Oath (Check more about the rebellion process here!). In the Change of Dynasty event, players need to have a cause to kick-start the rebellion ending. In this case, players can use Testaments to Bygone Oath to start it.

Generally speaking, there are 4 stages, starting from having Shirshana as a follower, and ending with the restoration of his country. Interestingly, the continuation of Shirshana’s plot requires Alim and Lumera to become followers as well.

The overall process of the 4 stages is as follows:

Roaming Swordsman becomes a follower. ➡️ Alim and Lumera become followers. ➡️Explore Shirshana’s homeland and level up Testaments to Bygone Oath ➡️ Rebellion

As to the endings, the rebellion route with Shirshana only allows either Shirshana or Arzu to be the leader. Different leader and vizier combinations, as well as the balance between reformative and traditional points, result in different endings. All endings from this route are related to Shirshana’s homeland and the stars, so to speak.

How to Recruit Roaming Swordsman?

Players can recruit Roaming Swordsman, Shirshana, to be one of the followers at the early stage of the game. In short, finishing the event Tavern Dispute and siding with Roaming Swordsman adds him directly to Arzu’s follower team.

  1. Tavern Dispute: Arzu needs to reach Influence ≥ 9, Notoriety ≥ 9 to trigger this event. Players can choose to use the Bloodshed card or Carnality card on the noble, use the Extravagance card on the Roaming Swordsman or the noble, use 10 coins to hire the Swordsman or pay the noble, or successfully convince the Swordsman or the noble. If choosing to convince the Swordsman, Arzu needs to pass the check of charisma & sociability ≥ 4. For persuading the noble, the check is charisma & sociability ≥ 2.

How to Recruit Lumera?

Lumera’s recruitment usually happens before recruiting Roaming Swordsman and Alim. Compared to Alim’s plot, recruiting Lumera is very simple and straightforward.

This post explains how to recruit Lumera: Sultan’s Game Lumera: Another Option for Taking Down the Magician. Players need to keep Lumera as a follower until finishing the Worthless Papers event, which means not letting Lumera become a star before this event.

How to Finish Alim’s Story & Recruit Him?

The continuation of Roaming Swordsman’s plot requires players to recruit Alim. The clue to the Swordsman’s homeland comes from Alim’s discovery. Alim is the master thief in the dark alley. Players need to settle down the urchins to Alim’s satisfaction and finish the Thief Apprentice event to recruit him.

To make Alim happy with the settlement, players need to keep dragging the Street Urchins to Methinks until one of the correct solutions pops up.

Check more details about how to recruit Alim in the section “Help Alim with the Nursery: The Gardeners” of the post: Sultan’s Game Troops Pt. 1: How to Gather Troops & Defeat Sultan’s Army Overwhelmingly! This section settles down the urchins by building the nursery with Alim. If players have already built the nursery with Nawfal, sending Alim’s street urchins to the nursery makes Alim satisfied as well.

Alim is happy with the below-listed settling, too:

  1. Become Lambs
  2. Become Dogs
  3. Become Rats
  4. Beast of Burden

Explore the Homeland & Level up Testaments to Bygone Oath

The following events are about exploring Roaming Swordsman’s homeland and reclaiming his identity as the heir of the bygone kingdom. Firstly, players need to uncover the secrets and history of his homeland. Then, players need to finish a series of events to upgrade the Testaments to Bygone Oath.

The Homeland

  1. Worthless Papers: Have Alim, Lumera, and Roaming Swordsman as followers to trigger this event. Send Lumera to claim the book called Builder’s Guide.
  2. Drag Builder’s Guide to Methinks, and Read it.
  3. Sharp Grass Plains: Send Roaming Swordsman with 2 other followers with 10 coins for the event. There are three checks: survival & combat ≥ 5, magic & charisma ≥ 5, wisdom & stealth ≥ 5. Players need to send Roaming Swordsman, pass all checks, and refrain from setting fire in this event.
  4. Heart’s Treasure: Answer Maggie, Sense of Happiness, Wife’s Resentment, any other followers who have the Bond of Fate tag, or rebellion convictions.
  5. Blade’s True Name: Send Arzu. Roaming Swordsman will reveal his identity as the heir of the highlands and give Arzu the Frostveil Blade (The Blade’s name will be different if players obtain it through other events).
  6. Covenant’s Call: Send any follower with the Blade from Roaming Swordsman to obtain the Testaments to Bygone Oath.

Upgrade the Testaments to Bygone Oath

Upgrading Testaments to Bygone Oath requires collecting 5 responses successfully. The upgrade route is as shown below:

Stone-tier (Collect 1 response) ➡️ Bronze-tier (Collect 2 responses) ➡️ Silver-tier (Collect 2 responses) ➡️ Gold-tier

Drag the Testaments to Bygone Oath to Methinks, and there will be 1 event generated each time. There are 5 events in total. The order in which the 5 events are generated is completely random.

  1. Opportunist: Send Shirshana or other nobles with Testaments to Bygone Oath. If Influence & Notoriety ≥ 30, players only need to pass the charisma & sociability ≥ 1 check. If not, then the check is charisma & sociability ≥ 8.
  2. Superstitious Follower: Send Shirshana or other nobles equipped with the Frostveil Blade (or the Ashen Blade). Players can also convince her if Insight ≥ 5.
  3. Greedy Opportunist: Send Shirshana or other nobles with Testaments to Bygone Oath and 15 coins.
  4. Righteous Loyalist: Send Shirshana or other nobles with Testaments to Bygone Oath. The check fails if Infamy ≥ 10. If Renown & Notoriety ≥ 30, players only need to pass the charisma & sociability ≥ 1 check. If not, then the check is charisma & sociability ≥ 8.
  5. Cowardly Opportunist: Send Shirshana or other nobles with Testaments to Bygone Oath and 3 troops.

After all 5 events are triggered, the game starts the event Homeland Banner. If players fail some of the above-listed events, they can take advantage of Homeland Banner to collect enough responses to upgrade Testaments to Bygone Oath to the gold-tier.

  1. Homeland Banner: Intent to Rebel brings 1 response. Regicide Plot brings 6 responses. The Highlord’s Effigy brings 6 responses.

The Rebellion & Final Endings

To unlock Shirshana’s rebellion ending, players need to place gold-tier Testaments to Bygone Oath in Change of Dynasty to start the rebellion.

Highland Foot Soldiers and Highland Calvary join the team as 2 troops after using Testaments to Bygone Oath in Change of Dynasty.

The rebellion process is very similar to the rebellion route when using the Regicide Plot. The details are included in this post: Sultan’s Game Rebellion Ending: How to Rebel Against Sultan When I’m Tired of His Game! The difference lies in the event, Dance of the King. In Shirshana’s rebellion route, Shirshana joins this fight and makes the duel easier.

There are six endings that players can enjoy after the successful rebellion through Shirshana’s route. The Realm of Remembrance and The Realm of Starblade are good endings with the traditional and reformative points balanced.

  1. The Realm of Remembrance: Choose Arzu as the leader. The gap between reformative and traditional points ≤ 3.
  2. The Realm of Starblade: Choose Shirshana as the leader and Arzu as the vizier. The gap between reformative and traditional points ≤ 3.
  3. Falling Star Rises Again: Choose Shirshana as the leader and Arzu as the vizier. The reformative – traditional points > 3
  4. Prisoners of Oath: Choose Shirshana as the leader and Arzu as the vizier. The traditional – reformative points > 3
  5. The Starblade’s Last Words: Choose Arzu as the leader. The reformative – traditional points > 3
  6. The Starrenegade with Crimson Robe: Choose Arzu as the leader. The traditional – reformative points > 3

Conclusion: Sultan’s Game Ending through Shirshana

Different from other rebellion routes, Shirshana’s plot enriches the history of the world that Sultan’s Game is situated in. Roaming Swordsman’s story explains the highlands’ past before being conquered and overthrown by the predecessors of the Sultan. Shirshana’s homeland bears close connections with the star, and the descendants of the highlands are under the oath of restoring their bygone homeland, as witnessed by the star. The endings are also more intertwined with Lumera’s story, as she is the descendant of the star-souled.

In terms of the gameplay, rebelling with Shirshana and Testaments to Bygone Oath makes it easier to gather troops because the Testaments promise 2 troops already. The most difficult part of Shirshana’s plot seems to be the strenuous process of recruiting Alim.
