Graveyard Keeper 2 Live Bait: How to Get It, Recipe & Uses

Live Bait is the most advanced bait in Graveyard Keeper 2 and an essential item for catching legendary fish. These rare catches include the Mythic Carp, Celestial Salmon, Kraken Jr., and Elder Catfish, which unlock special cooking recipes when caught for the first time. However, the game does not give a clear lead on where the player can unlock the Live Bait recipe. This guide explains where to get the recipe and the use of the Live Bait.

Where to Get Live Bait in Graveyard Keeper 2

The player unlocks Live Bait in Graveyard Keeper 2 through Heffry and Jeffry, the twins who live in the southern part of the Village.

The twins’ fishing questline introduces the player to fishing and gradually unlocks better equipment. To obtain Live Bait, the player must progress until the quest “Plenty of Fish in the Sea” becomes available.

The quest requires the player to bring the twins 3 Flax Thread. After completing the request, the Twins teach the player Fishing IV, which unlocks the Live Bait recipe and the Pro Rod.

Once they unlock Fishing IV, the player can craft Live Bait at the Kitchen Table or Kitchen Table II.

The Uses of Live Bait in Graveyard Keeper 2

Catching four legendary fish requires the use of Live Bait. Catching each one for the first time unlocks a corresponding special cooking recipe. The resulting dishes provide extra experience points.
