Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion Guide: All Possible Routes
Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion is a dark, cult-related, but rewarding event in the early game stage. This event leads to Badriyyah’s recruitment, Amur’s crime and recruitment, and bears connections to the cultist god slaying ending. This guide covers everything needed to know about navigating the haunted mansion. Let us get started.
What Is Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion Event & How to Trigger It
Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion event is triggered by attending News in the Bathhouse. The bathhouse is the center of information in Sultan’s Game. If players realize that they didn’t have a lot of events on the map, it is highly possible that it’s because they didn’t send anyone to the bathhouse regularly. Players can keep attending the bathhouse until the Haunted Mansion event appears on the map.
The event requires three card slots: s1 (the protagonist), s2 (a follower), and s3 (a Sultan’s card). The player may also place an item in s4, though this is optional. The mansion reacts differently depending on who is sent and what card is used. This event is important at the early game stage because it gives players a direct opportunity to recruit Badriyyah and Amur, as well as gain the first bronze cultist conviction card.

How to Recruit Badriyyah Before Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion
There are two options in terms of recruiting Badriyyah: The first one is through upgrading the purist god conviction, and Badriyyah will show up in the Faith Challenge event. The second one is through Haunted Mansion. If the player has recruited Badriyyah before Haunted Mansion, taking Badriyyah to the Haunted Mansion unlocks special routes and results.
- Seeking Order Aid: Send either Maggie or Arzu to seek Iman’s help. This event gives players the Pure Thoughts card.
- Upgrade the Pure Thoughts to bronze-tier Divine Touch. (Check how to upgrade here.)
- Faith Challenge: To recruit Badriyyah, the player needs to either support her (Option 2) or sponsor her (Option 3). Sponsoring Badriyyah can recruit her directly after this event.
- Cult Messenger (Option 2): Send a follower to talk to Badriyyah.
- Impure Aid (Option 2): The player can break a Sultan’s card in the subsequent event. Badriyyah will join the team directly after breaking the card.

No Sultan’s Card or Using Conquest Card
If the player chooses not to use a Sultan card or uses a Conquest card, the event proceeds as a standard exploration of the mansion.
With Badriyyah
- With no Sultan’s card, the result does not lead to anything other than Badriyyah gaining Magic +1. This option also does not unlock Amur’s storyline.
- With the Conquest card, the mansion will be cleansed and claimed by Arzu. The player gains Vacant Mansion.
With Any Other Follower
If Magic + Charisma ≥ 3: The player explores and escapes successfully. Arzu and the follower do not gain a curse.
This will trigger three following events:
- Unsolved Murders: The player needs to pass the check of Stealth + Sociability ≥ 2 (or ≥ 1 if Influence is ≥ 5) to obtain the evidence of Amur’s crime. Later, players can use the evidence to recruit Amur. Amur is considered one of the best allies because it gives Arzu 5 support points. Sending Amur to The Grand Game basically guarantees that the Support always outwins the Opposition.
- Evil Clues: Passing the Sociability + Wisdom ≥ 1 check reveals Badriyyah’s hideout. In the next event Night’s Shelter, players can choose either to capture her or to recruit her. The recruitment yields a bronze-tier Peering into Darkness card, very helpful for the cultist god slaying ending.
- Rest in Peace: This event gives players the opportunity to decide how to deal with Amur. The rewards are unlocking the game achievements. But generally speaking, Amur is most useful when players keep him alive.

Carnality Card: The Lust Branch
Using a Carnality card transforms the mansion exploration into a dark, erotic encounter. The card requires the follower to have Passion. The outcome depends on whether the follower is Badriyyah or someone else.
With Badriyyah
To use the Carnality card, Arzu does not have to have Passion with Badriyyah. This option rewards players with Stain: Faith, if players haven’t obtained this stain.
Similar to using other Sultan’s cards, this option also does not lead to the investigation on Amur.
With Any Other Follower (Who Has Passion)
Arzu and the follower will be cursed without the checks in this branch. The following events Unsolved Murders and Evil Clues will be triggered.
Arzu and the follower are left traumatized. When reporting to the Sultan, they are unable to speak coherently. The player gains Wife’s Resentment +1, Insight +2, and the follower loses Passion. The event Rest in Peace is also unavailable for this choice. Yet, players can recruit Amur and Badriyyah similar to the previous route.

Bloodshed Card: The Murder Branch
Using a Bloodshed card turns the mansion into a killing ground. The outcome depends on whether the follower is Badriyyah.
With Badriyyah
This option removes Badriyyah from the team and gives the player Stain: Angel. The stain cards are mandatory in completing the cultist god slaying route.
This does not lead to the murder investigation for Amur’s recruitment, and has no subsequent events.
With Any Other Follower
This decision directly leads to The Call of Darkness. If the player stops Badriyyah in the event Faith Challenge, The Call of Darkness will end the game. Otherwise, passing the Wisdom + Sociability≥ 3 check leads to the event Badriyyah, where players can recruit her.
It is worth mentioning that this route does not recruit Amur or investigate the crime scene.

Final Tips on Sultan’s Game Haunted Mansion Event
- Choose the follower carefully. Going to the mansion with Badriyyah does not unlock the investigation on Amur. However, exploring the mansion with other followers gives players the best chance to recruit both Amur and Badriyyah.
- Choose the Sultan’s card carefully. Using no Sultan’s card or using the Conquest card gives the most complete story branches and the best rewards.
- The Receive Divine Grace event can lift the curse. Players can proceed the route of Seeking Order Aid to unlock this event.
Generally speaking, players can obtain Badriyyah, Amur, and the Peering into Darkness conviction card in Haunted Mansion and its following series of events. It is one of the most rewarding and helpful events at the early stage of Sultan’s Game, especially if players are aiming for the cultist god slaying ending.
