What to Know Before Starting Sultan’s Game Nabhani’s Route

Sultan’s Game Nabhani is one of the Honor Guards, and his storyline begins with An Interesting Incident. The trigger condition is using a Carnality card or Extravagance card at the House of Delights.

In Sultan’s Game, Nabhani will leave the party from time to time until players complete his route. On the other hand, his leaving also provides players with opportunities to break Sultan’s cards. Players can proceed his storyline by considering what they need currently.

An Interesting Incident and Unreliable Ally: The Main Branching Point for Sultan’s Game Nabhani Storylines

1. An Interesting Incident: Trigger condition is using a Carnality card or Extravagance card at the House of Delights. Either Maggie or the protagonist performs the host. After this event, Nabhani joins the party, and several turns later, the Unreliable Ally event triggers automatically. This is the only way to recruit Nabhani.
2. Unreliable Ally: Players can choose one of several options based on the card used. Using a Carnality card, Extravagance card, or Conquest card will lead to the subsequent events. Using a Bloodshed card will start the duel with Nabhani and remove him permanently from the team.

Using a Conquest Card in Unreliable Ally Event

The difficulty level of the Conquest card challenge depends on the tier of the Conquest card the player is using in Unreliable Ally. The Conquest card events will not stop Nabhani from leaving the team every now and then, nor will they remove Nabhani’s Honor Guard tag.

1. Dark Alley Warrior Campaign (Stone-Tier Conquest Card): The player needs to pass 2 rounds of checks: First, Wisdom ≥ 1. Second, a Combat + Physique – the rival’s Combat + Physique ≥ 2.

Starting the Game

1. Carnality card prompt: Choosing “Yes, I will” to continue the storyline. Choosing “Forget it” loops back to Unreliable Ally.
2. The Most Popular Man: The winner is determined by who has the highest Charisma. The Sultan has 10 Charisma. Arzu needs to have at least 5 Charisma to participate. First, a Wisdom + Stealth check is performed. If the total – the Sultan’s Wisdom + Stealth is ≥ 3, the player recognizes the Sultan.
   • If the protagonist wins and recognizes the Sultan, the event triggers a pop-up window – Sultan’s demands.
   • If the protagonist wins and does not recognize the Sultan, the player gains The Sultan’s Suspicion +1 and triggers Preparing for the Game.
   • If Nabhani wins and recognizes the Sultan, the event triggers the pop-up window of whether to warn Nabhani or not.
   • If Nabhani wins and does not recognize the Sultan, the event randomly triggers one of Junah’s Game, Shama’s Game, or Jalila’s Game.
   • If the Sultan wins regardless of recognition, the event triggers Sultan’s Game.

Arzu Wins & Recognizes the Sultan

1. A Pop-Up Window of Sultan’s Demands:
   • Choosing “Of course, it should be you” triggers Sultan’s Game event.
   • Choosing “Please listen to me…” triggers Preparing for the Game event.

Arzu Wins and Does not Recognize the Sultan

1. Preparing for the Game: If the player spends 10 gold to hire Buthayna, she will improve the game. Giving only 30 gold triggers Your Game. Giving an additional 10 gold (40 total) triggers Your Game Pro, which includes additional Buthayna story segments.
2. Your Game:
   • Using a Conquest card results in game over.
   • Using a Carnality card has no specified penalty.
   • Using an Extravagance card requires 30 gold.
   • Using a Bloodshed card kills a random person, and causes Nabhani to leave the team permanently.
   • Sultan’s presence and absence only affect whether players will get The Sultan’s Suspicion or not.
3. Master of Revels: Nabhani has something to say to Arzu. If no Bloodshed card is used in Your Game, he will stay permanently in the team.

Nabhani Wins & Recognizes the Sultan

1. A Pop-Up Window of Friendly Tip:
   • Persuading Nabhani to give up triggers Sultan’s Game event.
   • Standing by and doing nothing randomly triggers one of Junah’s Game, Shama’s Game, or Jalila’s Game.

Nabhani Wins & Does not Recognize the Sultan

1. Junah’s Game: If the player did not send Arzu to attend and not use any Sultan’s card, the event triggers The Grief of the Prodigal. If the player places a Sultan’s card, Nabhani leaves forever. If the player sends Arzu with no Sultan’s card, Nabhani no longer leaves the team.
2. Shama’s Game: If the player did not send Arzu to join nor use any Sultan’s card, the event triggers The Grief of the Prodigal. Using any Sultan’s card will cause Sultan to join the party and end up with bloodshed and Nabhani leaving the team permanently. Arzu’s participation can make Nabhani permanently stay in the team, but the best choice is not to join at all.
3. Jalila’s Game:
   • Placing a Conquest card triggers One Against Hundred and Unreliable Ally: Players need Physique + Survival ≥ 10 to succeed. Success injures Arzu and removes 1 The Sultan’s Suspicion. Failure results in game over.
   • Placing a Carnality card triggers Serving the Sultan and Unreliable Ally: Players need Physique + Survival ≥ 8 to succeed. Success injures the protagonist and removes 1 The Sultan’s Suspicion. Failure results in game over.
   • Placing an Extravagance card triggers A Grand Celebration and Unreliable Ally: This event costs 10 gold per day for 5 consecutive days. No attribute checks are required.
   • Placing a Bloodshed card triggers Innocent Victim and Unreliable Ally: This event kills a random noble. No attribute checks are required.
   • Placing no Sultan’s card triggers Nighttime Service: Arzu needs to pass the check Survival + Stealth ≥ 3 to trigger Master of Revels and keep Nabhani permanently in the team.
4. Master of Revels: Nabhani no longer leaves the team.
5. The Grief of the Prodigal: This is the chance to remove Nabhani’s Honor Guard tag with either revolution conviction or cult conviction. After this event completes, Nabhani no longer leaves the party.

Sultan Wins Regardless of Recognition

1. Sultan’s Game:
   • Using a Conquest card results in game over.
   • Using a Carnality card: if it is a gold-tier card, the player needs Charisma + Sociability ≥ 7 to break it.
   • Using an Extravagance card requires 30 gold.
   • Using a Bloodshed card kills a random person.

Using an Extravagance Card in Unreliable Ally Event

This route is not compatible with the route of recruiting Riel. If players want to continue Riel’s route and recruitment, players either need to

• purchase Riel and start Riel’s storyline
• or not use an Extravagance card in Unreliable Ally at all (Then Riel will burn down the slave market after 30 rounds into the game and players can proceed with Riel’s storyline).

It is also worth noticing that all three slaves’ storylines can keep Nabhani permanently in the team with the correct choices.

Choosing a Slave to Purchase

1. Exhibition of Flesh: Choosing Riel triggers her storyline without her burning down the slave market. Salwiyah’s storyline is related to the House of Delights. Habunah’s storyline can remove Nabhani’s honor guard tag and grant a troop (This troop cannot be used in The Dawn Rally).

Habunah

1. Minor Trouble: Send a noble or a commoner follower to pass the Sociability ≥ 3, Combat ≥ 3 checks. If Influence ≥ 10, a noble follower can skip the checks. If Notoriety ≥ 10, a commoner follower can skip the checks.
2. Placing the Blue Scarf into Methinks.
3. Freedom in Flames: Send 2 followers to pass the Physique & Survival≥ 5 check. Sending Nabhani can remove his Honor Guard tag later, but not sending him can obtain the Blue Turban Army.
   • Visit (Sending Nabhani to Freedom in Flames): Put in Arzu and the rebellion conviction to remove Nabhani’s Honor Guard tag. Players can also use the cultist conviction to remove tag. Nabhani will not leave the party anymore after this event.
   • What You Can Do (Not Sending Nabhani to Freedom in Flames): Send any 3 female followers or Nabhani with 2 other female followers to comfort Habunah.
   • Weaving Classroom (Not Sending Nabhani to Freedom in Flames): Habunah needs 1 follower with wisdom ≥ 4 to help her with the class.
   • Blue Scarf (Not Sending Nabhani to Freedom in Flames) (Finish Weaving Classroom event 3 times): Send Arzu with a rebellion conviction. The Blue Turban Army will join the rebellion battle after Sultan’s Walls.

Salwiyah

1. Pop-up window after saving Salwiyah from Exhibition of Flesh:
   • Choosing “You should take her in, my friend” triggers That Woman event.
   • Choosing “How about leave her to me?” causes Salwiyah to join the party.
   • Choosing “She should learn to live on her own” triggers A New Girl to the House of Delights event.
2. That Woman (Option 1): The player needs to call Nabhani back to the team and drag him to Methinks to trigger this event. It turns out that Salwiyah prefers going to House of Delights.
3. Dead Drunk (Option 1): Giving 10 gold and Nabhani will no longer leave the party.
4. Pop-up window after choosing option 2 and breaking a Carnality card with Salwiyah): Choosing “How could she compare with you?” triggers Luxurious Joy and its following events. Choosing “Yes, you are not as good as her” triggers Not on Purpose and its following events.
   • Luxurious Joy: Giving her 15 gold to upgrade Salwiyah to the silver tier.
   • Unfulfilled Desires: This event requires a Vacant Mansion.
   • Hidden Jewel in the Golden House: This event costs 3 gold every 7 days. If not paid, Salwiyah will leave and join the House of Delights. In return, Arzu gains 1 Notoriety point every week.
   • Not on Purpose: This event helps remove 1 Wife’s Resentment.
   • Another Way Out: Salwiyah leaves the team in this event.
5. A New Girl to the House of Delights (Option 3): Salwiyah joins the House of Delights directly.
6. If Salwiyah joins the House of Delights through any route, and Renown ≥ 18, Nabhani will come back and never leave again.

Killing at the House of Delights or Using a Bloodshed Card Starts a Duel

Using a Bloodshed card in Unreliable Ally or in House of Delights will result in a duel between Arzu and Nabhani.

1. Someone Is Preparing to Challenge You: Trigger condition is using a Carnality card at the House of Delights. Nabhani will challenge Arzu after 5 rounds.
2. Guardian: Players need to pass the check of Combat + Physique ≥ 3 to defeat Nabhani. Placing Snake Venom skips the check and causes Nabhani to die. If the total is ≥ 3 and a Bloodshed card is placed, Nabhani dies.

Final Tips on Sultan’s Game Nabhani Storylines

Generally speaking, Nabhani does not have any high attributes that stand out among other followers. The best part of his storyline is that he can help the player break 1 Carnality card, 1 Conquest card, 1 Extravagance card, and 1 Bloodshed card if needed.

Removing his Honor Guard tag can help the player prepare for the revolution route, and Nabhani will not fight by the Sultan’s side. Removing all four Honor Guard from the Sultan can unlock a special ending.
