Sultan’s Game Fardak Full Walkthrough: The Hostage Prince’s Three Paths
Sultan’s Game Fardak is a foreign prince held hostage in the court, and his fate is entirely in your hands. Unlike other characters, Fardak has three mutually exclusive endings: he can go home alone, marry Lumera, or stay as a loyal ally. His storylines can yield Bond of Fate, a troop, conviction cards, together with other rewards. This guide will walk you through every trigger condition, every choice, and every hidden requirement.
How to Trigger Fardak’s Storylines in Sultan’s Game
Sultan’s Game Fardak storyline begins with an event called The Sultan’s Prank. The trigger condition is to attend The Grand Game at least 15 times (Doesn’t have to be Arzu who attends). Once that happens, the Sultan will play a cruel joke on Fardak, and you must decide how to respond.
Never use a Conquest card or a Bloodshed card in the first event. Either choice will kill Fardak.
- The Sultan’s Prank: Players must choose one card to respond to the Sultan’s prank. Using a silver-tier or lower Extravagance card triggers the Building the Palace event. Using a silver-tier or lower Carnality card grants the Fear of the Sultan conviction card, useful for the revolution route. It’d be best to use an Extravagance card, because the marriage route will be blocked if players use a Carnality card on Fardak.
- Building the Palace: Doing so grants Renown +1 and costs 10 coins.

How to Win Fardak’s Friendship and Recruit Him
- After using either the Carnality card or finishing building the palace in the prank, Fardak will seek your help. Two choices are available. Either can work depending on which game endings players are preparing for and followers’ attributes. If players are going for the cultist god-slaying ending, hosting a sacrifice is better aligned.
- Building Underground Channels: Players need to provide 8 gold. Additionally, the total survival stat of all participating members must be ≥ 10. This route is more aligned with a general preparation or the revolution ending.
- Rain Prayer Sacrifice: This event requires a party with total Magic ≥ 5. The lead character must have the Black Art tag (meaning being a cultist). This event also needs a sacrifice, either a chosen one or a random local one. Players need to pass the Magic ≥ 2 check. The success grants a Peering into Darkness conviction card.
- Fardak’s Friendship: After completing the drought event, Fardak will ask to join Arzu’s team. This is the chance to recruit Fardak and use the revolution, cultist, or purist conviction cards, depending on what kind of conviction cards players need as a reward.

Decisions to Make for Fardak’s Escape & Wedding
The escape route and the marriage route are mutually exclusive. Players can only choose one to proceed. If players use a Carnality card on Fardak in Sultan’s Prank, they can not proceed with the marriage route.
Fardak Goes Home Alone
This route is generally more related to Fardak’s Bond of Fate. So if you are in need of more followers with Bond of Fate, this route is a great option. If players let Fardak go, the steed Gazelle is also a handy piece of equipment because it adds a decent amount of Survival attribute.
- If players have sponsored the cartographer Manar, and Renown is ≥ 5, Fardak will mention his wish to escape home through Manar’s secret path. Choose Gently Remind if you want to continue this route. This option gives Arzu the Perilous Trail card.
- The Grand Game: After choosing to remind him gently, players can send Fardak to attend court, and the Sultan will refuse to let him go home.
- The Promised Moment: If Arzu’s Renown ≥ 9, three choices are available. First, choose to persuade him to embrace his cruel fate. Second, choose to help him escape. Third, choose to tell him that he should escape like a rat. Note that the third option requires Perilous Trail from the previous step. The third option also grants the weapon, Kaplan’s End, but the end of the third choice leads to Fardak leaving the team.
- The Same Storm (First Option): This event triggers if the player chose to persuade Fardak to accept his fate. If Arzu uses a Carnality card and has previously used a Carnality on Fardak, this will fail to form Bond of Fate. If players choose not to use a Carnality card this time, or if this is the first time using a Carnality card, Arzu will form Bond of Fate with Fardak.
- Let Me Be Your Shield (Second Option): This event triggers if the player chose to help Fardak escape directly. Players need to insert a troop or a revolution conviction. Either way, Fardak will refuse to leave, and players can form Bond of Fate with him.
- An Escape Like a Mouse (Third Option): This event triggers if the player told Fardak to be like a rat and has the Perilous Trail. Players can choose to use a prostitute, Kaplan’s End, or a troop to pass the Influence check to help Fardak escape. Successful escape grants a Gazelle, which followers can equip as a steed.

Sultan’s Game Fardak Marries Lumera
- To proceed with this route instead of the escape one, players can choose Severely Warn when Fardak wants to escape.
- There will be a pop-up window from Fardak if players have not used a Carnality card on Fardak before, and have not encouraged Fardak to escape. Choose “Of course, I can even introduce you” to proceed.
- Matchmaker: Players can try introducing noble women to Fardak, but Fardak is only interested in Lumera.
- First Sight: Players need to provide 18 gold and a jewelry, and have Fardak and Arzu attend the event of officially adopting Lumera as Arzu’s daughter.
- Young People’s Wedding: Players can provide 5 gold for a basic wedding, or more to break an Extravagence card. After the wedding, Fardak will have the Bond of Fate tag. If players choose to have Arzu to remind them to escape, Fardak will return in Pathway Home, if it is Maggie, Lumera will return.
- The Grand Game: Having Lumera or Fardak attend the court. The Sultan will demand that either Lumera or Fardak return to the court after both of them leave for their hometown for 1 week, which lays the background for the future return in the next event.
- Pathway Home: Lumera and Fardak will be leaving automatically in this event. If Fardak returns, players gain a gold-tier accessory, Crown of Morning Dews. If Lumera returns, players gain three books: Desert Warfare, Stone’s Spark, Back and Forth.

Get the Most Out of Sultan’s Game Fardak Story Routes
Fardak’s routes are very helpful if players are aiming for the revolution ending. Regardless of whether players want to send him home or marry him to Lumera, the guesthouse route definitely yields a troop, to say the least.
If players need Bond of Fate followers for the god-becoming ending or the escape ending, the routes of sending him home or marrying him give Fardak’s Bond of Fate tag. Both routes are simple. The only thing to consider is whether players prefer to keep Fardak or Lumera, or to let him leave the team in exchange for equipment rewards.
