1. After downloading a mod, you’ll normally receive a ZIP file. Don’t simply leave the ZIP file sitting in the mods folder. You need to extract the mod first.
2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file. Move that extracted folder into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fields of Mistria\mods (Or another location as detected by the Mods of Mistria Installer)

The important thing is that the actual mod folder should be directly inside the mods folder. You don’t want an unnecessary extra folder level such as:

mods → Item Spawner → Item Spawner → manifest.json

Step 3: Run the Mods of Mistria Installer Again

Once you’ve placed the extracted mod inside the mods folder, run the Mods of Mistria Installer. The installer should detect the compatible mod automatically.

You’ll see the available mods listed in the installer. Tick the box next to the mod you want to install and click Install.

Once the installer reports that the installation has completed, the mod should be ready to use.
